Optimal staff provides analytic and logistical support to the NCSER in the U.S. Department of Education. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing nationally recognized subject-area experts in addition to contributing to writing issue papers and providing cutting-edge practice guides on methodological advances in special education research. Optimal's researchers and experts have authored papers on power analysis, regression discontinuity, context effects, single-case designs, and core methodological issues.
