U.S. Department of Education, Streamlined Acquisition Tool (ED-SAT)

The U.S. Department of Education announced in February 2010 that Optimal has been selected as a contractor under its five-year Streamlined Acquisition Tool, an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. .

Optimal was awarded work agreements in Pool A – Policy, Program and Performance Analysis Evaluation (Contract: ED-CFO-1-A-0042) and Pool B – Research & Assessment Design, Data Collection and Analysis (Contract: ED-CFO-10-A-0120). In Pool A, Optimal will work with the U.S. Department of Education to provide internal evaluation and analysis of policy programs on emerging education issues. ED-SAT contractors in Pool B are expected to develop innovative methodologies for data analysis with reporting to assess trends in education program effectiveness.

Optimal Analytics' Real-Time Framework is based on rigorous but flexible design and allows for concurrent data collection, analysis and reporting. It also incorporates a continuous feedback loop for customized stakeholder reporting - ranging from policy makers to the public.
 
Optimal has applied the Framework to projects in its four core policy areas: education; health; housing, economic development and transportation; and workforce development.
