Small Business Expedited Research and Demonstration IDIQ Task Order Contracts 

In January 2009, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) task order contract  with $1,000,000,000 (one-billion) to be distributed over a  period of performance consisting of a 5 (five) year base period with 5 (five) one-year option periods to 10 (ten) different companies (Contract #: HHSM-500-2011-00011I-HHSM-500-2011-00020I). Optimal is listed among the 10 (ten) companies to recieve this contract. Under this IDIQ, Optimal will conduct general research, analysis, demonstration and survey activities relating to Medicare, Medicaid, the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) issues related to uninsured populations, and other aspects of CMS program responsibilities. CMS is the Federal agency responsible for the operation and oversight of the Medicare program and the Federal Government's participation in the State-operated Medicaid and State Child Health Insurance Programs.
