Baltimore, MD -- Optimal Solutions Group was recently awarded a 4-year contract to implement internal audit and quality assurance functions to ensure the integrity of the Baltimore City and Queen Anne’s County child support operations. Policy Studies, Inc., a leading provider of information technology, consulting, and outsourcing services for government clients, began operating the nation's largest child support enforcement contract in Baltimore City and Queen Anne's County on January 2, 2004. As part of this contract, PSI provides a full range of child support services, including intake, locate, establishment, enforcement, decentralized collections, review and adjustment, and case maintenance.

Optimal researchers are tasked with assessing procedures for monitoring of worker performance in all phases of the operation to include case processing and customer service. The audit function include procedures for reviewing collection and payment processing activities along with procedures for reviewing internal controls and payment processing, customer service minimum performance standards and system security. Quarterly reports will provide Policy Studies, Inc. with internal audit and quality control results and any corrective actions recommended to resolve deficiencies.
