Optimal Wins MSDE Contract to Analyze Praxis I Test Data From ETS

Baltimore, MD -- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) awarded Optimal Solutions Group (Optimal) a contract to analyze Praxis I test data from ETS, a national standardized testing service, to determine patterns and trends for minority first-year teachers required to take this exam. Optimal will also provide a comprehensive review of best practices universities can employ to help minority students achieve higher Praxis I scores.
The Praxis Series: Professional Assessments for Beginning Teachers is used by state education agencies in making licensing decisions. This contract adds to Optimal's expanding education practice that includes the National Charter School Evaluation with Mathematica Policy Research, work with the U.S. State Department to model the economic impact of its international exchange programs, and emerging work with the SAS Institute to assist school districts in data driven decision making.
