Optimal Hires Charlene Gatewood

Optimal Solutions Group, LLC (Optimal) has hired Charlene Gatewood as its Project Director. In this capacity, Gatewood will monitor and manage the budgets and resources of Optimal’s projects and contracts, ensuring they are operating in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
Drawing upon her vast budget and project-management experience, Gatewood joined Optimal in October 2005. A former Verizon employee of 32 years, Gatewood is a thorough, systematic project-management and process-improvement professional and has specialized skills in team building, problem solving, and multi-tasking projects. During her tenure at Verizon, she managed several complex and technical start-ups and ventures, ensured that projects were compliant with FCC regulations, and managed technical personnel and cross-functional teams in assessment and implementation of telecommunications products and services to meet end-user requirements. In Spring 2000, Ms. Gatewood formed Process Improvers, Inc., a project management and business process improvement consulting firm. Prior to joining Optimal, she served as a contracted consultant for Strategic Solutions Center, LLC, a business consulting firm where she was the Director of Programs.
Ms. Gatewood is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). She holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Trinity College and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University School of Business and Public Management.
