• CORNELL/HARVARD ALUM AS RESEARCH ANALYST II

Optimal Solutions Group has hired Michelle Blair as a Research Analyst II in the Education Research Center.  Ms. Blair earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Cornell University and continued her graduate-level studies at Harvard University, earning a Masters in Public Affairs.  Her previous work experience includes teaching, serving as an administrator in the New York City Department of Education, and an education policy researcher.  She brings to Optimal a wealth of knowledge within the education field to include quantitative and qualitative research methods, extensive research within a wide-range of education-related topics, and proficient skills using statistical software packages. 

• JESSICA BEVERWYK AS RESEARCH ANALYST II

Optimal Solutions Group has hired Jessica Beverwyk as a Research Analyst II in the Health Policy Research Center.  Ms. Beverwyk has experience in government, non-profit, and academic spheres, and is adept at policy analysis and sophisticated research.  Her prior work experience includes researching pharmaceutical disposal and recycling programs, collaborating to develop a campus-wide healthy adolescent sexuality-outreach project, researching cultural competency issues for family planning clinics serving Latin American and Vietnamese populations in New Orleans, and examining childhood obesity and nutrition.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Kalamazoo College as well as a Master's of Public Health degree from The Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, where she earned the Internationalist Scholarship. After Hurricane Katrina, she attended a semester at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

• SHELLEY MARSHALL AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT/OFFICE MANAGER

Shelley Marshall has joined Optimal Solutions Group as the Executive Assistant/Office Manager of Optimal’s Washington Office.  Ms. Marshall brings more than 15 years of management experience and strong organizational, financial and administration skills to Optimal.  In this role, she will work closely with Optimal’s President and Vice President while managing and/or providing assistance to other contract, office, and accounting-related tasks. 

• LYNETTE POPE AS RECEPTIONIST/OFFICE ASSISTANT                             

Lynette Pope has joined Optimal Solutions Group as a Receptionist/Office Assistant.  Ms. Pope has federal agency experience from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) where she was a Human Services Specialist, providing customer service to individuals requesting disaster assistance after experiencing a Presidential-declared disaster.  She has advanced skills in customer service, document and records management, and IT Technology.  Ms. Pope is currently enrolled in George Mason University studying IT Technology.
