IMMEDIATE RELEASE

College Park, MD - February 25, 2009 -Optimal Solutions Group, LLC (Optimal) has been contracted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to support quality measure development and maintenance life-cycle activities in the Measure & Instrument Development and Support (MIDS) Umbrella Statement of Work. According to CMS, high quality means care that is personalized, prevention-oriented, and patient-centered, based on evidence about the benefits and costs for each particular patient. Currently, large gaps exist between the CMS definition of high-quality care for every patient, every time, and what our health care system delivers. Optimal is pleased to have been selected as a contractor to use its expertise to help health professionals, patients, and all stakeholders in our health care system turn promising new ideas into action to close quality gaps. The complete announcement of this Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is archived at the Federal Business Opportunities Award page.
